Lab-Grown vs. Mined Diamonds: What's the Real Difference?

So where do they differ?
Origin. Mined diamonds form over billions of years underground. Lab-grown diamonds are created in a controlled facility over weeks, using the same pressure-and-heat process nature uses — just accelerated.
Traceability. This is the big one for many buyers. A lab-grown stone's full journey — from reactor to finished piece — can be accounted for. That clean, known origin is why so many wearers choose lab-grown as a symbol of a "fresh start."
Price. Lab-grown typically costs a fraction of a comparable mined stone, which is why the same budget stretches to a larger or higher-grade stone.
Which should you choose?
It comes down to what matters to you. If a known, conflict-free origin and better value appeal to you, lab-grown is a strong fit. If you specifically want a geological artifact with billions of years of history, mined may be your choice.
